Flagpole Project

Our Flagpole was donated to us on October 8, 2021. Jerry Glass arranged for it through the school after learning about it lying partially buried in the backside of the filed at the school. Craig and Jerry dug it out and loaded it up to bring to the shop. We believe the flagpole was shop made at the high school in the late 1960’s or early 70’s.

It was brought back to the shop with the intent to restore it and set it before we officially started our first session.

Shop construction and organizational details delayed the restoration. By March 2022 it still had not been touched and our first group was poised to begin a project but saw the flagpole and decided to dive into that instead.

The slide show will show you all the steps involved through completion. We are proud to fly the American Flag and our First Responders flag on our restored Flagpole.
